How many hours do you work each day?

9AM - 8PM work
8PM - 9PM - nap
9PM - 1AM - work
1AM - 8AM - (6.5~7 hours sleep).
and repeat. lunch/eat happens with no distractions to work. shower happens in the morning 8-9AM.

That sounds like a very thick working schedule, can you please describe what your daily tasks are? Just curious.

I may be wrong but the reason I'm sure many of us decided to pursue IM as a career is so you could avoid working 8+ hour shifts? Maybe some of you guys need to outsource a little more/stop over exaggerating or maybe I'm just a lazy son of a gun who doesn't want to do anything for more than 4 hours a day. idk

Friends and family are important. Create some time for that.

Yes due to spending long hours on making money online journey,i am loosing friends always busy in working :( one day i will have money but no one with me :(

Right now I'm working on my blog + developing an online store, so I basically work 20h/day without weekends :((

I spend far too many hours each day on my laptop.

Winter tends to be 12+ hours, broken down as;
2 hours on Facebook
3 hours replying to drivel on here
Then I start working.

Summer tends to be 5 hours a day, as I hit the pool several times a day to cool off.

I work 20 hours a day on/off (IM is my full time job)

I work as a freelancer but i wish i had the drive to work so many hours, actual work on coding i can just make like 5/6 tops, more than that i start to burnout. I also have a lot of mood swings maybe im drinking too much cofee. I work worse if i have to deal with multiple projects/deadlines, any food/lifestyle tips? I also hate when i wake up and after a hour or two i feel my head heavy and i cant think that snappy.

minimum 12 hours and some time upto 18 hours.
when there is some critical problem in my Data Center or some other critical problem then I work with my staff for upto 48 to 72 hours without sleeping or rest.

Probably 5 hours actually working.

Until you have enough money coming in to outsource a lot of work has to be done by yourself, either manually or with the help of automation programs.

Your right though I chose IM in order to control my time. I'd rather work 6 hours a day on growing my own business than working 6 hours a day at a job.

Not saying having a job is a bad thing. If I really needed to I would just apply for a couple.

But after working various jobs I just felt like I was wasting my time when I could be making easier money without physical labor.

Depends. Sometimes it's 4 hours. Sometimes it's 12-15. It all depends on my tasks, and what I'm trying to get set up. I usually leave a little note for myself before i go to bed with a list of "chores" to do.

It seems like my best ideas happen when I walk away from the computer . Then I get motivated and jump back on and work on them for 8+ hours a day

I work 2 hours at most a day due to homework, self education, reading, and procrastination.

I usually do about 12 hours a day. Give or take. Plus periodical breaks for food.

Today I realistically spent 10 hours working. 8 at my day job and 2 on IM.

I don't think I could focus long enough like some of these cool cats. (Without ADHD meds of course).

Too many. Depressing as fuck sitting in front of the computer all day, especially when you haven't achieved much.

This is a good opportunity to also say that TOO MUCH SITTING KILLS.

Without being overly dramatic, if you're sitting at your computer for 10+ a day, which it appears many of you are, get up and move. I'm not saying you'll drop dead, but at the very least it isn't very good for you. Humans were designed to move, so be smart with your sitting-time and be sure to take regular breaks.
