how many hashtags per photo?

How many should i add to my post? I was told to focus on 5 but i get more likes and comments when i do 30 . I feel like 30 is too much tho.

Why shouldnt you use the max alowed? Just use 30.
 
It's not spammy:)

But dont try to use 30 very populair hashtags, you wont rank on them. Try to mix it up and do some research, just puting random hashtags isnt working.

yeah i do the ones that are easy to rank at top for. That have at lease 20 photos posted a day.
 
if max is 30,
then try using 15 to 20 to stay away from spam.
 
sorry if i am late to this but i want to let you know 30 is not spammy always, i had an account that got shadowbanned ( hashtags stop working) because i kept using 30 same hashtags for like 10 posts and this is sspammy and i was posting 5 times a day.
 
Use 30 to get more people and maybe once you have high Followers you can lower it down
 
This one's a nice tactic that has worked superbly for me: I use 15 Popular Hashtags in my niche that I get from display purposes and then I manually add 15 that I can rank for and are relevant to the photo uploaded. Cheers!

As per rule you should have 30 hash tag per post. If you will put more than that then your comments won't be displayed. I would suggest, you should decide it as per your post length and contents within it. You will need to decide it based on the tags which your competitors are using, influence of that hash tag on the readers.

11. I've heard from various people who worked or who have worked at IG tell me this. I didn't believe until recently.

Some people do 30. Some do 60.

But reality, using business insights. Less than 3% of my discovery is from hashtags.
I'm in a lot of influencer groups and 1-8% discovery is what the going rate is for accounts of various niches.

I tried changing up my hashtags to small ones (100-3k) and I increased my discovery to 10%.
Using anything larger than 60k, I would hit 1% discovery..

Hashtags are nto that important. The new stats don't lie.
 
i see people writing so many hashtags in the first comment. does it make the same effort as hashtags in posts?
 
You should test to see how many hashtags you can rank popular & how many hashtags your post actually shows up in. Trial & Error is your friend here. Test to see what mixture of hashtags / # of them pull in the greatest # of followers (if that's what you're looking for).

Keep in mind, just because you post with hashtags does not mean your post will show in that hashtag section.
