How many h1, h2, h3 tags?

Hey.
I'm building my Amazon aff website but I think my articles might have too many header tags.
I have one h1, 2 h2 and 8 h3 tags (5 for products, 3 inside the conclusion)

Is it too many header tags?

My theme auto adds my title as <h1> as well so thats 1 H1, I usually start by a big introduction in my articles then when I actually move on to the point of the article I use H2 for a big title kinda like an LSI of the main keyword, for H3 I use as many as I want, usually for product names or sub categories inside a post.

So

1 H2
Don't care about how many H3
 
^^how do you feel about having the single H1 tag and the title tag being identical?

Thanks! It seems like our header tags are used in the same way then :D
 
Try that you headers tags contains your Keyword or at last long tail keywords, Because that will help you to get easy traffic from Google
 
I always use a perfect hierarchy of the h tags...having many not an issue(don't include unnecessary tags else create a content if u want more h tags ) but make sure it hold the proper structure so it would be a win win to both users as well as your Google bot reading structure of Ur pages.

I generally go by this also... My mind-set on it is Google uses the single H1 tag to determine what the page is about, then the 2-3 H2 tags to further enhance the information on the page, and then however many H3 tags for the rest of the titles. I will use H3-H6 tags over using "Bold" to make titles/headers stand out
 
If you care about ranking well in Bing which I do because they produce about 40% of my SEO attributed revenue then you need 1 and only 1 H1 with the keywords. You can have multiple of the others as needed. Google doesn't appear to have this requirement but BWT will complain at you if you violate it.
 
i dont think google will penalize a page because of using h1,2,3 tags

as long as it make sense and not stuffing, it should be good

Yes you used the correct times of header tags.No need to worry, go with that.

It depends on which doctype you use.

For example in HTML 5 it's ok to have multiple h1 tags on a page if you add them with the correct semantic like in an article or section element.
