How many forum posting per forum is effective?

We have a team of 10 doing around 100 forum postings per resource in various forms. We are getting backlinks as expected. But wondering if we need to stop forum postings after 100-150 forum postings per forum. Because... when we were talking to an experienced SEO leader other day he explained that google might give you maximum 3 backlinks per forum. So it really does not matter if you have 100 forum postings or 500 forum postings. Your backlinks will not increase from 3 in google.

Is this true? If yes we are wasting our resources by posting more than 500 posts? Experts please advise..

The thing is that as the number of links increase from a particular domain, with each new link(from the same domain) the SEO value of that link decreases. But if it's driving traffic then I wouldn't mind building 100 links from the same forum.

Google will count your Forum signature link each time your post on forum topic But posting continuously (Slow but Steady) will profit you extra. As i am getting ranked for many keywords for using forum signature links but remember they are unique. I have backlinks with my profile from last 3 years. It works but it is too costly to manage forums for posting on larger scale.

I think that's definitely more than enough. That's plenty of promotion and will help with SERPs but there's a limit to how effective the linkbuilding will be from forums. Those people could be doing a different link building method each and get you far better results.

In my opinion he is correct. More links from the same forum can be seen similar to site wide thing. But the posts are on topic and benefit the discussion then it should not be an issue.

If you are doing posts for backlinks then too many posts will not give better help than few posts (per forum) but if you are posting for traffic then the more posts the better considering the forum is so busy with many active members.

I agree. It's not so much useful to get backlinks from same domain site. It doesn't mean whether you have 1 back link or 100.

The aspect is that as the wide range of backlinks increase from a particular web page, with each new weblink the SEO value of that weblink decreases. But if it's getting guests or guests then I wouldn't ideas creating 100 backlinks from the same forum.

100% agree with the person you spoke to, you want about 2-3 links per domain. Unless of course you are gaining a great amount of traffic from these forum posts, but I highly doubt that.
I think your priorities should change and you should be focusing more on other types of sites, whether government, education or news sites.

I think google recognizes upto 3-5 links per site/forum. So that should be enough. Rather than spamming forums with 100 posts, try and make 3-5 meaningful posts which would get replies and keep the conversation going. Probably not the best of SEO tips but would sure help in making some good friends in the forum and adds to your forum street rep

In my experienced opinion, when you add the post in forum with signature then Google indexed your post each time when some post below your comment on same topic and its very beneficial for your website, but forum must be reputed and have a lot of updates on daily basis, then Google must appreciate your participation on forums. I have 4 years of experience in just forum posing, and I tally many link inside the signature box if the posts of the reputed members more than 1000 then the average PR of these members signature link is 3+

most are highly moderated now and with default blocking but if you have lists and they are ******** then it will work nicely as many as you can post lol
