How Many Creatives Are You Testing at Once?

I’m trying to optimize my creative testing process. Previously, I usually tested a few creatives at a time and eliminated them based on the data. However, recently I feel that ad lifecycles are becoming shorter, and creatives need to be refreshed more frequently.

How many creatives do you usually test at once? And between video creatives and image creatives, which one has been more stable in performance? I will consider any suggestions. Thank everyone in advance.

I have noticed the same thing with Facebook ads. Creative seems to burn out faster now, so I usually prefer testing several distinct concepts rather than just making small variations of the same ad. I also would not automatically choose video over static images because I have seen simple image ads outperform video for surprisingly long periods depending on the audience and offer.

How many creatives are you currently testing at the same time, and what kind of daily budget are you working with? I ask because testing too many creatives on a smaller budget can spread the data so thin that it becomes difficult to identify a real winner.

Also, are your new creatives completely different concepts or mostly variations of the same hook and visual? I ask because if the underlying concept stays the same, changing the format alone may not really solve creative fatigue.

Also what is your niche????

Usually 4/6 at a time gives enough variation without making the data impossible to read. If performance starts dropping across several creatives that’s usually when I’d refresh the concepts rather than just changing tiny design details.

I usually test 3 to 5 ads at a time, then filter and select 2 to 3 suitable ones to keep. Changing ad creatives frequently is quite effective these days; when campaigns stall, that's when you need to update your advertising campaign.

I usually test 3–5 creatives at a time because videos often get better engagement while the images can be more stable.
