I’m trying to scale multiple offers but not sure how many campaigns I can safely run per Google Ads account without raising red flags. I know old rules about 5–10 campaigns are outdated. What’s the safe number these days?

Depends on account age and spend. New accounts should stick to 2–3 campaigns max, older accounts can handle 10–15 safely.

Don’t just count campaigns, count total ad groups and keywords too. Too many active elements in a new account triggers flags fast.

Keep campaigns relevant and active. 5 well-optimized campaigns are better than 15 messy ones, especially for scaling blackhat offers.

Run as many campaigns as your account can handle, naturally focus on relevance, budget spread, and gradual scaling to stay safe.

I’d recommend testing with 5–7 campaigns first and scaling slowly while monitoring warnings.

Most advertisers keep it safe with around 8-10 active campaigns per account, but I think Google cares more about quality and compliance than exact numbers.

Personally I never run more than 5 campaigns per account.

The old "5–10 campaigns" criterion no longer applies to Google. The number of campaigns that are safe depends more on the health of the account, the budget, and the history of performance than on the number of campaigns. As long as you follow these rules, you can operate dozens (even 50+) under one account without any problems:
  • Budgets and traffic are enough (don't split your spending too thin).
  • Campaigns aren't fighting with or copying each other.
  • Your account has a strong history of performance and respects the rules.
To sum up, don't simply look at the number; but look at the quality, structure, and spend-to-campaign ratio.

There isn’t really a fixed “safe” number anymore. Google cares more about how healthy your account looks — consistent spend, good CTRs, no spammy duplicates — than whether you have 5 or 25 campaigns. If the setup makes sense and the quality is there, running 20–30+ campaigns is usually fine.

Running 20–30 campaigns is usually fine if budgets are reasonable and targeting isn’t overlapping too much.

New account: 2–5 campaigns max.
Aged / healthy account: 10–20 campaigns is totally fine.

You can typically run 20–30 campaigns per Google Ads account without issues, as long as you're staying organized and maintaining a healthy performance across them.

I usually keep it to as many campaigns as I can realistically manage and keep compliant because Google cares more about quality and policy consistency than any fixed campaign count

Here’s a practical answer based on current official limits and real-world best practices for how many Google Ads campaigns you can safely run without triggering flags or performance/management issues updated for 2025

There’s no hard limit—running 10–15 campaigns per Google Ads account is normal today if you scale gradually and stay policy-compliant.

There’s no strict limit, but keep things manageable—10–20 active campaigns per account is usually safe if you scale slowly and keep everything legit.
