Got BTC and planned to secure it till it rises to the maximum value?

James Altucher, a hedge fund manager predicts that BTC will reach $1 million by 2020.... but there is a buzz roaming that there is this man behind the BTC's rise and falls in the recent months...

    https://www.express.co.uk/finance/c...ng-Tokyo-whale-price-slide-bull-market-return

"Using a scale known as the Bitcoin Misery Index (BMI) - which measures how sad or happy investors are by measuring the consistency of bitcoin to USD over the last 90 days - Mr Lee said the readings are currently at their lowest levels since August 2011"

Will the bull market return now or in anytime soon? Does it actually depend this guy?

If BTC reaches one million the market cap would reach the sky, I don't think that's possible

I'm all for Bitcoin but 1 million is quite a stretch. That being said it's nice if people predict it since it brings in more people hoping to get rich and driving up the price which results in a bullrun

People you just need to understand that money from IT it is not easy money.

This is why so many people with 0 knowledge want to make easy money as they think it is easy.
But please remember if you win in crypto, then this means someone lost money, as money
is not raining from air. Then remember that one day you can lose...

Lol probably the funniest thing I've seen all day. $1M a coin. High fees, long transaction times, no centralised system, price instability means bitcoin is worthless. Other coins out there that are much better (Ripple is what I have my eye on). $1M a coin at current coin circulation is a $16 Trillion market cap or $21 Trillion at full supply. S&P 500 has a current market cap around $23 Trillion. The sum of all money in the world is toughly $90 Trillion or so. There's just to much instability and stuff going wrong to warrant any high valuations like that. Look how long BTC took to recover from its first crash in 2013 it took 4 years to recover back to its price of $1000. $20,000 a coin by 2020 perhaps. Unless we see some major changes in adoption and regulations etc. I see it being flat untill the next catalyst and craze.

Bitcoin will surely go the moon but I doubt that it will reach the 1 million mark as predicted.

I pretty much cashed out all the BTC that we had from payments over the past few years when it hit the High this year. I left 5 BTC in the account just in case it every hits that big magic number. You never know.

I think you guys are underestimating the deflationary aspect of BTC.

Lets see... Max circulation of 21M coins. of those, several millions have already been lost or locked out, so lets say top of ~17.5M coins.

There are much more than 17.5 millionaires in the world, so even if each one of them would want to hold just a single coin, there wouldn't be enough for all them. And that's just counting millionaires and not the general population. If Lightning network catches on and BTC goes mainstream, it could easily go to $1M per coin in the long term.

I think we will see valuations of ~$100K within the next 2 years.

I'll just leave this post here and revisit it every few months... :)

There would need to be 17.5 million millionaires.

No one can predict exactly how much it goes higher or lower. But dreaming is nothing wrong. Only risk investing in bitcoins, if you can accord to loss.

Before a month it was $15k-$20k and it went to $8k now, so people who bought at $15k, they had lost pretty much huge money.

    So its always risk.
