How many backlinks to rank higher?

Realistically speaking, how many backlinks from high DR (50+) Websites do you need to buy each month in order to start ranking higher and getting a good amount of traffic to your blog?

Backlinks from medium authority sites come with an hefty pricing, i can afford 5-10 a month ($100-200 each)
however, what if this is not enough to rank in the first page for some articles?
i heard some people saying you need hundreds to thousands of backlinks to rank in the first page,
that would cost me more than i can afford.

I just don't want to be spending money on backlinking without being sure it will eventually pay back.


My Niche: economy, finance, ecommerce, etc...

Have you already built the website and written the content? Have you been tracking your keyword rankings already? Is the content in the top 50-100 positions for your keywords?

It's not possible to mention some specific count of the backlinks that will help you, It includes the various factors. competition of your Niche, Your site's present Status and so and so.

ROI is very import of to continue this process, But first must discuss the possibilities of increasing your Position and returns. Every process had take some time to get a fruitful result, You must wait for that particular time.

These days it's not that you always need hundreds or thousands of backlinks. It depends on many factors. I have seen small to intermediate-level websites outranking bigger ones without many backlinks. Intent, content, relevance, freshness, and of course, google's algorithm dance matters.

Invest that sum into finding underserved topics within the niche for the first 3-4 months
These articles should rank even without links

You're trying to beat the algoritm of the search engine most complex in the whole internet. taking for granted. can be guarantee except that best you can do to eventually rank is to stick with linkbuilding campaigns based on relevancy, quality and quantity when the first two conditions are meet.

So many factors involved that even that could be insuficientt if quality content is not present on the website you want to rank or website functionality doesn't produce optimum user behavior metrics from the browser perspective.

It's not like 2015 anymore, and rules can change at any moment with just a core update.
 
Based on your budget you could easily diversify back link profile with buying guest post along with some niche link with different anchors. Improving ranking takes time with relevant articles updated and anchors should be diversified to get better traffic.
 
It's based on your competition and the quality of backlinks you build.

It depends on the keywords I guess. But I would not push it too hard, you need time to grow. So consistency is key here
 
Don't focus only on high-DR link building. There are many ranking signals which help to improve your ranking..

1. Ask some experts to conduct a site audit.
2. Enhance the weekend areas.
3. Diversify your link profile.
4. Wait for the result.
