How many backlinks should I build a day?

How many back links should I use on a site i'm trying to promote?

I am promoting a LONG TERM-WHITE HAT site.

I'm trying to find what would be a good number of back links daily without overlinking.

It depends on the age of the site. I too am promoting my white hat site. I generally stick below 50 a day, but these all come from a variety of platforms each with a variation of anchors. It's important to note that every web page is crawled at different intervals, some links may take weeks or months to be indexed. For this reason, sometimes I pay spent a weekend building 1000+ links, and then not bother for a week.

For a brand new site, I'd begin with >10 a day - building it up each month.
 
I would not exceed 40 a day and spread them around ie social bookmarking and articles submissions. If your site is new I would keep to around 10 a day for 4 weeks or so.
 
i did like 200 a day and waiting for google results , yahoo says i have about 4000 backlinks. but google still not showing its done in last 20 days and domain is 4 years .com i hope i will get backlinks shown on google soon.
 
Lol, you guys will never learn. I am able to have almost 10k backlinks in less than 2 months. I was never sandboxed or anything.

Don't listen to others you can build literally hundreds per day if you do it correctly. AKA deep linking...This looks natural to google spiders and is why it works..
 
If your site is new then you can make 20 to 30 backlinks daily and if your site is old about 1 year and above then you can build as many as you want.

Indeed deep linking is the way to go. Never had trouble myself. I just trow in 200 - 300 links in a day on some page links on my site and let them get indexed naturally.

You asked the "experts" and we gave you 10 a day or slightly more 4000 a week. Just goes to show eh?
What I would say to clarify my 30-40 a day max is I have "heard" of people getting sandboxed for more than this. It has never happened to me, even when I got drunk one night and automated about 2500 directory links.
However if you don't want to have any problems with your site I am sure you would prefer I aired on the side of caution.
Why don't you buy a few .info domains and experiment yourself and then you will know for yourself. You can even come back here as an "expert" and tell us.

edit: the op has pm'd me and said his experiment indicates 1,000,000 a day monday to friday but only 1 on sundays! wtf(a joke) ROFL:D:D:D
 
if it is free blog hosting site then believe me just give the hell of backlinks
 
If your site is new dont builds more than 30-40 per day.Try to build slowly links to your new site.
 
You do not have to build your links slowly.

What is more important than your link volume is your link velocity.

Whether you decide to build 1 link a day or 1000 a day, be consistent with it. That is the most important thing.
