How many backlinks is it safe to create a day?

Honestly there is no easy formula... Why? Cause it depends on:
  • Website's outstanding link profile
  • What kind of backlinks you are building
  • The index rate of those backlinks
  • The quality of your backlinks

Sometimes you need to take a pause, step back, and see if what's going in terms of your rankings, traffic, bounce rate, and conversion, BEFORE you proceed on doing backlinking again.

The key is that you need to look natural. If your site has ~50 backlinks from semi-low traffic sites, 3/mo is right about where you'd want to be. But if you have a bunch of backlinks from CNN, Wikipedia, and similar authority sites, only three new links a month would be unnaturally low.
 
if you have a new website then start slowly, start from 5/day and then increase the numbers slowly maximum up to 30/day
