I made a mistake when I started my site, and I bought “high quality” backlinks from fiver. Forgot about it and didn’t really built any backlinks since my site got some traffic but lately it’s getting barely any organic traffic. How much backlinks do I need to get to about 20 DR? And from what DR can I see a jump in search engine rankings? And also are there sites where I can post my backlinks for free and they are do follow? I have an adult site, ahrefs says 1800 backlinks, google search console says 46.

There is not fixed number of backlinks for DR 20. DR is driven by quality referring domains, not link count. A handful of relevant DR 20-40 sites can move DR more than hundreds of weak links. Also DR is not equal to ranking, you should focus on content, intent, and a few solid links instead of volume.

There’s no fixed number of backlinks for DR 20 a few strong, relevant links DR 30–70 can move it more than hundreds of low-quality ones, especially for adult niches. Ranking jumps usually come from link quality + relevance, not volume; free ******** links exist profiles, forum but rarely move the needle much.

In my opinion, Without quality content, backlinks won’t do much — Google can tell. Once the foundation is solid, you can gradually work on links to give your site authority and traffic. Content + proper backlinks = the golden formula for white hat SEO.

DR isn’t about number, it’s about link quality. The achievement of DR 20 depends on obtaining several high-quality niche links but having 10,000 Fiverr links of poor quality will never get you there.

Focus on building natural, strong backlinks slowly, quantity alone won’t safely raise your DR.

I don't think there's fixed number of DR. I've seen sites reach that level with just a handful of decent links, and others need more. It usually depends on how relevant the links are and how the site is structured overall, not just the count.
Quality matters way more than the number. A few high-quality relevant links are much better than many low-quality or spammy links. Focus on getting links from related sites with good traffic and trust, and improve your content so people want to link to it naturally.
Focus on high-quality backlinks. You don’t need a large quantity, good quality is enough.

There’s no real number that gets you to DR 20 and DR alone doesn’t mean rankings. I wouldn’t chase DR, I’d focus on better links and see how the site responds.
