How many backlinks do you make each month?

Currently im building around 25-35 links per month to my money sites. They are 1.5 years old at the moment. Check the average velocity in your niche and build links accordingly. Some can be quite aggresive, some are quite slow.

Backlinks vary in quality and I tend to sort them by Moz Domain Authority. You’d be doing well to get one big publication with a high authority to put you in an article once per month. Trade journals often list your clients’ competitors and you should make sure your client gets listed where they are listed. WebCEO’s Competitor Backlink Spy can show you exactly where two or more of your competitors share backlinks that you don’t have yet.

Without having to ask anyone to backlink to you, you should try to get about 20 backlinks per month by registering with high quality directories like the Yellow Pages or Manta.Create an infographic and load it to 7 infographic websites (like Visual-ly or “I Love Charts”) to get 7 backlinks.

You can also create a cool screensaver and load that with a backlink to yourself at 7 download sites like Download.com. If your content is compelling enough, you can try your luck at sites like Reddit where it could go viral.

Your client’s social media platforms give backlinks to your client’s website that will rise in authority depending on how many likes and shares posts receive (that refer to your client’s site) and on the quality of their followers. That means it’s always helpful to work social media well.

Note you are not doing social media correctly if you don’t include your client’s website link (or the link to their other social media URLs) in most posts. If you are not getting at least 5 shares and 10 likes per post, you are failing badly. Up your game. Add more compelling images to the posts.

Also, don’t just post images on Pinterest. Post the same ones on PhotoBucket and Flikr and other image sites that are indexed by Google. Don’t only post videos on YouTube. Post the videos on Vimeo and MetaCafe as well.

Your site should have a blog post once a week which gets posted on all social media, including LinkedIn and Google+ which too many people forget.

I drip feed 20-30 backlinks per day to my money sites. Google is very smart, there crawlers check for spammy and quality backlinks. If they find some quality backlinks, they definitely give a boost to your website.

G+ still exists?

To the Op..It is not the number of backlinks one makes per month that matters in SEO.. It is the quality of those backlinks i.e Moz stats

what kind of links do you make

Sometimes 5. Sometimes 10. sometimes none and sometimes 50.

No matter, what my niche is.

Natural stuff don't keep flowing. Even rivers are freezing during winter sometimes. There are some rivers which gets emptied in the summer. Yeah, no water in it at all.

You are right. Natural stuff don't keep flowing. So sometimes more and sometimes less. The main part is it should not be very unnatural, for example no backlinks for a month and suddenly hundreds/thousands of backlinks in a single day.
