How many backlink needed to rank top 3/5

Do you have any idea how many backlink needed to rank top 3/5 for a low keywords with 8000 exact search ?

cause few site has 20k backlinks but not in top 100 in google search but another same niche with 90% exact keyword site(not text & domain) with 250+ backlinks in top 3/5 & low 33k+ exact search

How thay rank in google with few backlinks ?

Two things;
a) Search volume is totally irrelevant to how hard (or easy) it is to rank
b) Number of links are totally irrelevant to ranking

So - to get a meaningful answer, you might be better off looking at the link sources of the top 3 ranked sites currently. Do they have crappy links, or PBN links, or something else?

It depends on the quality of backlinks : domain strengh, domain in the same thematic, age of backlinks...

this can not estimated before we don't know the competition so we can analyse the situation....sorry

i think you should try to make some more quality do-follow links.the count is actually nothing.quality is what matters as others said.you search for some private network of high PR sites with homepage links. They are solid.It will bring you to top 5 for sure.But its costly though

Weight of the backlinks is so different... you cannot count in terms of backlinks, but you have to figure out what is the quality of the juice they will bring you. To answer your question, one backlink on cnn.com can be enough and better that thousands of crappy links done through spamco for example.

You need to spy competitors. Besides backlink factor, you need to analysis other factors also: e.g: meta tag, content, page rank, etc.

To speed to the process, you need software. e.g: ahrefs.com
