Just wondering how many autoblogs people are managing getting away with on their server.

I've had 17 going just fine on a shared host.

Now I've upped to 60 between 2 hosts (30 on each) and am getting a bit paranoid.

Anyone got 30 running successfully on 1 hosting?

I have 12 running on a small VPS with 256mb ram.

Close to 50 running on a dedicated with 512MB.

Is it true that Hostgator is worse than Lunarpages for lots of autoblogs?

you can run quite a lot of blogs even on shared hosting . Depends on what wordpress plugins you are using , how big your autoblogs are, hows you mysql database optimized and many other factors

Thanks guys, you've set my mind at rest a little.

I'm not worried about the server, because it's more than adequate. I just don't want big Daddy thinking that I'm growing a blog farm.

QUESTION: going out to those with 30+ sites on a single hosting...

How many times are you updating per day?

i'm updating my blogs one time in a day with 10 to 40 posts

I used to have 2 autoblogs on a fasthosts dedicated server
356,000 posts in two months
SERVER CRASHED!

i have 25 running on each reseller and have around 8 resellers

i am running 5 autoblogs on hostgator (shared) and i don't have any problem yet but my autoblogs are just 2 weeks old so things may change in a couple of months

anyone else tried hostgator (shared) for their autoblogs?

It all depends how much traffic you get...updating content is not that hard for shared host, the bots & spiders, as well as regular traffic, this is what kills autoblog servers...

I had a problem with another host, got booted with 26 blogs.

Moved to another host, this time I am using w 3 total cache plugin, and I optimize my DB's once or twice a week.
