How many articles should be posted on a fresh domain in the beginning. I had posted 40-50 articles on one of my domains in one day but Google penalized the domain after 4-5 days. Please share your experience

Posting 1 or 2 articles per day is a safe and natural. But I am curious, how did you know that Google penalised your domain?

When starting a fresh domain, it's best to focus on quality rather than quantity. Posting 40-50 articles in a single day can look unnatural to Google, which might trigger penalties. It's better to gradually post content, around 5-10 articles per week, allowing Google to crawl and index the site slowly. This approach helps avoid being flagged for spammy behavior and can improve long-term ranking. Consistency, quality, and natural growth are key when building a new domain.

I have thousands of posts. I have a backup of my old website which I had closed. Now I have to publish those posts on a new domain. How can I do this so that Google does not penalize the domain?

I start all my sites with 10 articles. Then wait for them to gain traction.

After they get indexed, I push between 1-2 articles per week or even re-do one of the old ones by comparing them with competitors.

Go for small niches and long-tail keywords in the beginning. Using these in clusters helps to get the ball rolling

You need to start publishing the articles slowly from 1 to 2 per day and increase them gradually. It also depends on the quality of the articles.

Start with 3-5 high-quality articles for a new domain and add more gradually. Posting 40–50 at once can make Google flag your site as spam. Take it slow, target easy keywords, and focus on building trust.

and after ?

Just follow the same schedule timing... Posting 1 to 2 articles weekly is more than enough, we are talking about anywhere between 100 to 200 articles over a year.

Let's say you average about 150 articles, that's 150 chances to target keywords, right?

With good on-page SEO, each article can rank for around 20 to 50 related keywords.

Imagine every article pulling in about 30 related queries, that totals up to 4,500 potential hits on your related keywords throughout the year!

From my testing on various websites, even a modest batch of 40 articles can attract over 5,000 related keywords that rank and attract clicks from Google.

This shows the power of consistent, well-optimized content.

The key is to regularly publish solid articles, combined with good SEO, can and will boost your site's visibility and traffic.

It’s not as hard as it may seem. With solid effort and a good strategy, it's very achievable.

I’m planning to start a live case study next year (Journey) to share this process more interactively.

We’ll explore the SEO and content strategy by practically applying them to one or two test websites.
