How many articles go on Web 2.0s?

Hi! I'm seeing very different opinions about Web 2.0s as tier 1s.

Some people like to put just one 300-400 word article on each Web 2.0, while others put 3-4 500-word articles on each of their tier 1s.

Obviously the benefit of the first option is that you can have far more tier 1s for less money, but do you think this looks suspicious to Google?

How many articles do you put on each of your tier 1s? Is it working for you?

I doubt you will find any kind of definitive answer on this. I think in general, the more you contribute to these sites in terms of content, the more likely it is that they will benefit your main site. For instance of you post multiple articles on a Wordpress.com blog, each one is a chance to link back to your main site.

As far as looking suspicious to Google, I think you could do this submitting one article or dozens. If it appears that the only purpose of the account is to link back to a main site, then it will look suspicious. For instance having low quality content where it is obvious that not a lot of time was spent on it or the site in general is typically a dead giveaway that the site has no other purpose but to drive traffic and serve as a PR generator.

Matthew Woodward has a lot of good tutorials on Tiered link building. You could check those out and see if you can develop a good strategy.

Its totally depends on your niche.. if your niche then competition goes with 500+ word article..

Thanks for the detailed answer. I am not expecting a definitive answer; I just want to see what others are doing, and what works for them. But you have a great point overall - posting a single article with nothing else is probably a bad idea, since it is obvious that the site has been made for SEO.

Are you spinning both on phrase and word level? And do you only submit spun content to your 2.0s? How is it working for you?
 
There is no set amount or length, because it all comes down to competition and etc.... try with few different versions starting from the lowest and see what will perform best for you
 
Put simply treat them like a real blog,not every post has to be 500 words plus,have you ever seen a real blog where every post is 500+ words 'cause I haven't.Updating regularly is far more important than writing huge articles.Update regularly and google is pretty indexing your content as it happens.
 
I would prefer one original article of 1000 Words & then 4 or 5 (1000 words) smart spin version of the articles on each properties.
For now it is working awesome for my sites.

As much as you can.
First couple of posts with no links at all.
Then several with mixed self serving and links to authority sites..
It does depend on how many landing pages or URL's in total you are looking to rank and how stiff the competition is.

If you've a big site you add to often then a 1st tier of say 150 sites each with 30-40 posts with assorted images and contextual videos tends to add the power required. Getting to this stage will likey take a couple of months.

If you make 2 page MFA sites then a couple of days - a couple of posts.

Download "Blue Hat Demon" that has the last update from SEO Metrics on link velocity and the factors that make up the calculation then apply this to your own website.
 
It is important to have unique content on this web 2.0 sites?
Why should we use spinned content?
 
as many as possible although from what I have noticed on here, 3 or 4 seem to be the idea and not all directly about your cash page
