I know it's niche and competition dependent.

But what's the average amount of articles required to rank on Google?

The answer is one. Because you will have a really hard time ranking on Google with 0 articles. Nobody knows how many articles you need for a website to be considered authoritative, because this is probably what you asked, but Google says it considers a website to be knowledgeable after it has 30 high quality articles

May be 1- 10 article, which helps inter linking each other to boost the ranking of the page which you plan to rank top of the results.

The number of articles you should post is not as specific as you might think, but you should post high-quality, trending content.

It doesn't depend on quantity but on quality. need to rank, just regular update of the content with suitable keyword

Technically, none. (LoL)
Just setting up a website is enough to start ranking.
Actually, you don't even need that, because metadata can rank by itself.
I've seen some of my domain-based redirects ranking for SERPs. :o

In all seriousness, though, the more content you have, the better your site will perform.
So, get content, and with all thy getting, get longtail articles. :)

If you publish only 10 articles that's enough but those articles should have quality and SEO optimization, Most importantly site should have proper On-page SEO.

Answer is inevitable for me , As I Can get my site rank in just 1 article , it all depends on content and optimization required !

I'm legit asking, can you give me a source where Google says that? Seems nothing is showing up. Would love to read. Thanks

I think you are referring to this?

In which case, you didn't fully understand the main concept. But thanks for making me search, was a good read.

TL;DR: You need WAY WAY more than 30 articles to be considered an authority, or so it seems.

I`ve seen it across multiple SEO consultant discussions, but here is an article going into why over 30 articles would help with authority and why just looking into having more than 30 articles isn't enough for your website to be considered an authority https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-authoritative-site/426888/#close

Although the phrasing of the title and the initial paragraphs might indicate the contrary of what I have written, please read it all to get a clearer picture:)

You can rank every article even it is 1 or 10. If you wanna ask that how many articles you need to make your website authority then answer is minimum 5-10 articles is enough

You don't need to focus that much on the number of articles that you write, instead, put more effort into their quality. It's possible to rank both with one or ten texts, in fact, if you have many articles published in a short time period, there might be some confusion and you could even face issues with indexing and ranking, so better write one good article with relevant keywords inside of it, then to write bunch low-quality texts that will not have any value.

There's no set number, but if you want the site to look credible, go for several articles.

Well, a higher word count helps Google to better understand what your text is about.
Google tends to rank longer articles higher. So at least 300 words, they think it takes to rank on Google.

You should start from some articles with good quality. You will see how many you need. In some case 20 - 30 is anought, sometimes 100 and results are not satisfacted.
