How Many Articles A Day Required/Expected For Google News?

I have been thinking about getting my entertainemnt blog on Google News.

One of my competitors are on it and they are getting decent traffic I suppose as they are ranking twice as my site on Alexa.

So, now I'm really interested in getting on Google News. I only can imagine the effect from it.

How many articles should be posted per day?
Should I remove categories that are not being updated frequently?

consistency is key, you don't need that many daily as long as you do it consistently.

Since we're talking about an entertainment blog, I'll bet you could put up several short posts (say, 500-1000 words) per day. That should keep the blog relevant. I haven't even considered that Google News is a good place to be, but if your competitors are getting an increase in traffic, I'm sure you will too. Good luck!

First of all you need to request inclusion into google news through Google News Publisher Center and describe your website content in the submission form. But first your website ownership must be verified through Search Console. If you publish articles related to latest news, I am sure it will get approved, if not they will mention that it is rejected near your website domain. Unfortunately they do not describe any reason for rejection.

In my personal opinion, more contents is better.

Make sure that you only provide a piece of real and up-to-date news, don't use a title that is too hyperbole because it will bring bad effect to your website and leads to a hoax. Submit your blog to Google News Publisher Center sounds good to try!

Hello

I advise you to use the same strategy as on social networks to know what time is most relevant for your prospects to post.

Then I think that 4 to 5 post per day is a good average, but it is about posting especially, regularly and every day.

I would say that the better the quality, the less you need. I would not add a bunch of low quality posts, rather have less high quality.

Google news knows people in your niche. I use Google news and most articles that I see are in my interest range. It's like free advertising to a dedicated user base.
