Wondering what people are using for the major sites, myspace, facebook, etc as far as how many accounts do you access per each unique IP? (also twitter but I think they would be inclined to allow more accounts than the social networking sites)

I'm using 10 on Twitter and have been for quite some time. Never pushed it beyond that to test for limits.

moneyrocks: You can hardly go for less than one per IP, eh ?;-)

madblacker: after all it depends on the service, as example Digg will ban you if you have more than one. Twitter or gmail are known to be more friendly.
The secure way is one IP = 1 account (and always same IP for same account), but depending on the service you can go for more as long as they do not start fighting the spam.

I don't think there's a problem of having 5 or more accounts per IP, it's just like how lots of people access their Gmail/Facebook/whatever accounts at Starbucks or some other shared network, all from the same IP.

I think having a few accounts on one IP shouldnt be an issue up to say 5 - due to the fact that if you're a family all registering then that's fair. How about a school or university? Well I think it's okay.... I think they'll look into it when you're hammering the SPAM or eWhore accounts. Then they'll look to the origin of the accounts. I have about 50 twitter accounts over 3 IPs (different work places and home)

I think it all depends on what your doing. If you have say 20 twitter accounts on on IP that are being used fairly normally you wont have an issue.

The net cafe examples proves this.

As soon as you start abusing though then you may run into problems and they could shut down all the accounts linked to the IP.

I personally dont think they would shut down the IPs used to access the account so what really matters is what IP you use to create the account.
