I am worried my scrapebox was still running since 12 hours for harvesting links. How long should my PC stay alive in my city temp 44.6"c. I see my core temp showing 55-60"c in AMD cpu. How you manage your desktop machine ?

I run scrapebox for max of 10 hours before switching off!

No limit in terms of time spent harvesting: it vastly depends on the task/niche etc etc... Open the case and set up a big fan on the side if the rising temp bothers you... I can guarantee you it works, I could tell you a story about a scsi HD I had, but then I'd digress... HTH ;)

May be i can do that way also but not now because i don't have a penny to buy some big fans or cooling products.

I have my laptop running 24/7 with scrapebox ...only because i have an Asus G53SX 2.20 gigahertz Intel Core i7-2670QM with that new fan flow technology ..my cpu and ram always stay at a good temperture

when i had my crappy acer 470 travelmate laptop scrapebox wore it out fast lol

24/7 backlinks ...life is good =;0)

A desktop PC should be able to support running almost 24/7 theoretically, but you may find a VPS (virtual private server) better suited for your needs if you are consistently leaving your computer running this often.

As we speak my computer is running 90+ degrees C. Servers are all running 50+. 24/7 processing always.

Check your max temp and quit being a pussy. Also LOL @ the guy who said he runs Scrapebox 8 days a week.

I never turn it off. I have 10 instances that run per machine 24/7/365.

I don't hesitate to let an instance harvester for a week straight if it needs to.

I happily keep mutiple instances humming along 24 hours a day with the automator.

Same way I treat most programs.

Temperature in all my environments is controlled as some are in my house and some in data centers, never had an issue with that. Even my laptop runs cool to the touch when running constantly, but its got massive fans and its a massive machine. My prior laptop would get warm sometimes, but nothing bad. My desktops always stay pretty cool, and have good fans. I have used chill pads on the laptops before. Servers are never an issue as the data center takes care of it.

Work on cooling your CPU. As with any stable program, scrapebox is able to be run pretty much indefinitely. Mine has been harvesting for over a week now without issue.

As long as your machine is in good working order with no over heating issues, like other have said you can scrape 24/7 no problems... I know I do :)

If you start to hear the fan goin crazy all the time... make sure your PC is clean inside i.e there's not shit tons of dust in there... use an air spray to clean it out. A computer tech bud of mine told me recently that the single biggest cause he sees people machines dying is because they get clogged full of dirt and dust... something to keep in mind.

yep dust is the biggest problem

when you hear the machine working hard you need to blast the fans free of dust with air duster cans
both cpu fans and the power supply fans

blast it outside the office because that crap will find its way back in again
