How long will this be effective?

I currently have a site that that ranks #2 for my search term, and it outranks the site for the Clickbank product it promotes. If I set it up so visitors to my site are automatically redirected from my site to the Clickbank product it promotes, I won't get to do any pre-selling but I'll have a 100% CTR. How long would it take until Google catches on? Would the spiders still see my SEOed page when they crawl, or would they also be redirected?

This has been discussed before, you might drop in SERPS within a day or two, on the other hand people claim they have used this tactic and remained in the same position for over a year.
