How long does it take the counter on youtube to update views? I was 'given' 5k views 8 hours ago but they haven't appeared up yet,

It can easily take upto 24 hours for the view counter to update. So hold on for sometime before you get in touch with the service provider that delivered the views.

Sometimes 24 hours sometimes even a week.Everything depends on the number of views.

The first 300 are instant so if you still haven't gotten them get a refund. the rest take longer since they don't update in real time.

This is the exact answer. It is instant until you hit 300, then it will freeze probably and then it will get updated in 24 hour to 1 week.

First 300 = instant.

fb or any refer = below 12hours or below 24hours.

Mobile view mostly up to 24 - 48hours.
