Just found this site, great use of Adsense (as navigation) on the homepage, and talk about an MFA site!

That looks like just another niche content site to me. Not sure why it would be banned....

Yeah, I'd say that's an excellent niche mini-site. The ads are blended really well, the content seems solid... not sure why this one would raise any red flags at all.

Wouldn't it raise a red flag because his navigation at the top of the page is actually adsense ads. In my opinion it definitely would.

Click on his "related sites" at the bottom and you'll see some of his other sites also using adsense navigation. Could be some profitable niches here...

In fact. Click on "independent" next to "related" and you'll see 11 pages of niches that have been targeted.

If the advertisers complain, they might reduce the value of your clicks or review your site...usually this takes a long time for it to happen. I have found that if your Adsense account has a good mix of WH and GH sites (GH = setup like this to get extra clicks), it doesn't raise too many suspicions. Normally they just send you an email saying they are removing the ads from that site instead of closing your account.

Actually, the page only has 3 ad units. That one at the top is a Link unit and counted differently. According to AdSense help: "three link units per page can be placed in addition to the existing three standard AdSense ad units on that page"

So the page isn't violating the number of ads per page.

Also, as for how the link unit appears across the top, it's a fine line but really the page isn't "using images to promote clicks" since the tab-looking graphics are the actual page background.

Like I said, it's a fine line, but I think it's just fantastic placement for the link unit ads and seriously doubt it would cause any problems.
