He never lets my blog comments go through. I wonder if he is the one screening the comments. If so, he knows but turns a blind eye to it.

What makes you think Amazon doesn't pay Google for the privileges ?
Google is a partner with Amazon - if they will admit it or not is another thing, but I believe they are a secret affiliate so I don't think you should be worried about losing your rank any time soon.

Big companies work together to make sure they do not step on each others toes and help each other pound the hell
out of small business trying to soak up all of the profits.

Some people don't want this and other people do like myself. I am being out ranked by a couple of these pages and it is driving me crazy.

Google will not interfere with other big guys on big platforms. amazon is a big company they will easily pay google not to mess with them. an IT project to them is sufficient.
