I recently tried to move one of my blogs to a different host. I dunno what the heck is going on with it (as it is a small blog) but the database was nearly 200 MB and I couldn't get the thing to upload with FTP to the new host. It would always hang up.
Unfortunately I had the domain with 1&1 and was so confident the DB change would go just find with my hostgator hosting that i switched the name servers before the DB was locked on.
The results was that stupid 1&1 wouldn't allow me to change the nameservers back to the old host & database for 48 hrs. In the meantime, of course, the Google Bot came back to an empty page.
Now that things are back up and running on the old host, the Google Description has a bunch of funk for a description like:
How long until they figure out that's not a good description to display and switch it to my meta description?
