How Long Until a New Link Helps Ranking?

Hey pretty basic question here. How long after a link is found by google until it starts to effect rankings?

Also, can some of you weigh in on how much value you think the following links that I created for one of my landing pages will create. The website is in the stock trading niche, FYI.

- Backlink from Amazon.com- Created a profile link and then got the link indexed.
- Samsung.com- Forum link
- Flipboard backlink

Obviously these sites are not related to my niche, but they are also very high DA sites, however they are also just profile and forum links.

Anywhere between 5-10 weeks according to one study. It's hard to say though because there are so many influencing factors but the higher quality and more relevent the link the sooner the results. I'd say the 5-10 week is a good guideline though.

I think it will take effect in 10 weeks maximum. It actually depends on some factors like if you got a higher DA then you will get results faster but always remember that SEO is an investment so it may take time to get your desired results.

Well, it's quite hard to set a definite timeline in which backlinks are guaranteed to produce results, cause backlinks alone won’t skyrocket a page to the top, but expectations are mainly set to 10 weeks to see results and upto 1 year to get on the very top.
