I got couple of backlinks from quite good domains. Buteven after couple of weeks I dont see any improvement in my rankings. How long does it take to see first results?

"a couple of quite good domains" won't cut it anymore. To see definitive improvement in rankings solely due to the backlink juice you'd need mentions (can be NF as well) from editorial sites with 70+ DR at the minimum.
Otherwise, there's no fixed timeframe (or even Guarantee) for getting any noticeable benefits from average backlinks.

Don't get stuck in the mindset of doing 1 thing and then waiting to see an effect. Keep building backlinks to your site, within whatever tolerance of quality you see fit. More links = more points of entry, for both customers and bots. Rankings will come in time.
