I have tried ranking some of my websites in the past but failed hard since I didn't know how to optimize on page seo properly, tried to rank for tough keywords and used low quality bhw services. I still don't know whether I'll wait 1 week, 1 month or 1 year to rank :P

Check with your service provider how long does it take for some of his clients with similar website profiles as yours to rank these days.

Tried that, doesn't mean anything. I saw people with similar keywords to mine rank to first page in one or two weeks, but I am waiting for over 3 weeks now and I'm not even in top 300. I'm 7th on bing for secondary keyword with 200 searches though.

for me, better you ask seller, how long they can give guarantee their service to get rank

What is good keyword density for single word keywords ?
^^2-3% of kw density is the good one.. You must check whether you site is stronger in ON-Page side.. And get links good sites like some authority sites and blog posts from different buyers for diversification.. Also do consider no-follow links.. Though it doesn't pass any link juice, it will add reference to your targeting site.. It will also help you to rank your site..

I recommend 1% keyword density. Anything higher than that will be bordering on over-optimisation. It will take a while to rank for that keyword seeing as it's a 18K monthly searches term.

Well, I would recommend you to take suggestion from SEO company or any SEO specialist. They can assist you with proper suggestion and path in order to increase your ranking.

I think I know where the problem is - in ahrefs it shows that 46% of anchors use my main keyword. Is that too much ?

From keyword planner

that why, keyword planner tells you what is a competition in ads area. its not competition in top 10 of google ranking. to evaluate a competition you should use software like traffic travis (there is a free version) or market samurai

Can you suggest any tool for doing that or what if I want to learn SEO? From where I need to start?

Oh, I see now. I have made lots of mistakes in SEO. I need more anchor diversity + less keywords + proper keywords tool :) I saw that I have about 45 % of my main keyword from incoming links as an anchor. It should be 10% at most.

I wouldn't go for 10%, keep it 5% - 7% max. That's it!

There are many factors that contribute to your rankings. This includes link quality, domain age, time since you started building links, on page factors plus overall domain authority.
