The people realize that they don't need to hire copywriters anymore? The Artificial Intelligence engines like OpenAI GPT-3 are able to generate a high quality and 100% unique content for any niche. They do it fast and for a price of almost nothing. Just give them an assignment and your article will be ready in a few seconds.

How long it will take till all copywriters will lost their jobs? Any predictions?

When IAs actually create high quality texts. For now, they are repetitive texts, full of false information, historical errors and bullshit that require careful human analysis, otherwise your blog will just be a deposit of fake news.

In the coming years this tends to be fixed and this thread will make total sense; for now, manual article writers are still a more reliable option.

That was a sarcasm, right? The human copywriters do it every time, while ChatGPT doesn't. Even Google is in a panic mode now, because ChatGPT gives you a better answer to any question than their search engine is able to provide: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/21/technology/ai-chatgpt-google-search.html

Perhaps you don't follow the news. These machines already threaten the jobs of artists, programmers, consultants, teachers, and even more so copywriters.

I think AI content can replace cheap writers for now, but certainly not copywriters. Copywriters are using it as an aiding tool at best.

Of course AI can't replace Stephen King level writers right now, while it's already much better than all these cheap copywriters from Fiverr. But who knows what will happen tomorrow... The AI engines already generate very nice and quality pictures (e.g https://www.midjourney.com/showcase/recent/), they write music, books and even do coding in any programming language. Telling you this as a programmer: the AI already does a lot of coding job for me. I mean this type of work which is usually was done by junior developers. I can assure your that ChatGPT already does it much better than 90% of all those juniors. It does it instantly, it listens to your corrections and fixes the code according to your instructions. And... it's free by now :)
 
"Fittest" copywriters will survive, even adapt and use ai. May be some will write books.
Bit yeah, medium and low level are already struggling even bloggers and writers.

AI can replace most copywriters, but high quality ones will always remain. Although the AI wants to act like it's neutral it still will not talk about certain topics for example, and has a bias. So incorrect info can always be an issue.
AI is definitely a very useful tool however and will revolutionize this space, but it won't put everyone out of business except the inexperienced ones who just got into it to make a quick buck.
 
And course that's a second life for autoblogging. Just setup a site, choose a WordPress theme that you like, give it some RSS feeds as a source of ideas for an AI post generator and simply forget about it, because the robot will do all the job for you on a full autopilot. You'll get an endless source of quality articles, with no headaches and no copyright-related problems.

You are talking like you just recently found out about all this.

It's not that big of a deal, just because chatgpt is popular doesn't mean ai content hasn't been used for years already.

It will become better but put yourself in the shoes of an agency owner who has copywriters on payroll. Would you fire them and do the copy yourself with Ai? Would you hire a programmer who knows nothing about copy to automate copywriting with gpt? No to both, you'd just keep the copywriters and give them access to the ai.

Completely agree.

While it is a little scary how good AI content could be in 3-5 years, it's still a long way off from taking the jobs of decent copywriters.

I've been using Jasper for over a year now and it's not really improved that much in this time. Sure Chat GPT is great and may even be a little better than Jasper, but it's still got a while until it catches up to good copywriters.

It's also important to consider that good copywriters who use AI are just going to write even better content as the tools improve, so AI content will not be replacing copywriters any time soon IMO

I don't think that copywriters will lose their jobs, but the demand for their services will definitely decrease and that's could be very discouraging.

In my opinion, I don't think they will lose their job if they will learn more about the resolution to create better with Chat GPT
I mean how to write more engaging or optimize it to their needs

However any automation comes in, authenticity and deep analysis matter to present a good flow of content. Without humans, it's highly impossible to fix a finishing note.
 
In my opinion, only low skilled copywriters won't make it.

You could obviously still write your own blogs, but depending on how specialized the niche is, using Ai content is unacceptable.
For example, what if JK rowling wrote the harry potter series but later on told everyone an AI wrote it, no one would buy her next series of books. It comes down to a moral conflict.

I have checked the results of ChatGPT and I am astonished and surprised to say that ChatGPT is accurate even with the technical products recommendation and that got me worried.
