how long is twitter's memory?

i suppose twitter forgets.
if so, when can i post identical tweets? 1 week? 2 weeks? 1 month? is there a difference between identical tweets from 1 account, and those from different accounts?

They can probably remember for a very long time. All they've got to do is make a tiny hash of the tweet and store it with your user ID. Allowing you to tweet the same thing and knowing you're tweeting the same thing is very different

if you assumption is correct that tweets are stored with user id, it would take a lot for twitter to search for identical tweets from different account? so they should be more forgiving about copying ('plagerizing' so to speak) tweets? if so, what would be the time frame when i can copy, i.e., post identical tweets from a different account?

i know i can probably copy and post regardless. what i am talking about is making top tweets.

i'll partly answer my own question:

6 hours is too short. one is simply not allowed to post identical tweets in 6 hours.
3 days is ok.

so the number is somewhere in between.i am suspecting it's 24 hours.

It's related not just to the time frame, but also to what else you're posting. You need to post different tweets between the identical tweets.

so far i have had no problem posting 3 days apart without other tweets.
