How long does it take to see results from SEO?

It depends on your method and competition :) when publishing links on a regular basis I would say within weeks.
 
Many SEO firms will take many days to start seeing results
 
From our experience, affiiliates that know their way around SEO see considerable earnings in a couple of months, just as soon as they get into top-5 in search results
 
Depends on many things... mainly on how competitive your keywords are. I'd give it at least 6 months, if I were you, though. It's a patience game.

Many SEO firms take 4 to 6 months to start seeing results. That's generally accurate, but bear in mind this is when you start seeing results, and SEO results grow over time. Whatever results you're getting at 6 months should be considerably less than what you're getting at 12 months.

as far as I know if your website is shit for user and your bounce rate is high then you wont rank #1 anyway so no matter how long u wait and how many links u add
 
It is depends on the competition of niche, nowadays, it takes 3-6 months.
