There is a couple o techniques to revive the account, start through the basics:
Profile optimization, quality content and proper hashtag strategy.
Then you can move to other stuff and grind the account.
Damn that really sucks. Tbh I'm thinking the same but I get better engagement when I don't use hashtags which is stupid because how can I grow organically? :/Sharing my friend's experience:
- He had about 300k+ followers.
- Stopped posting for 8 months due to personal reasons
- Now, his engagement has gone to shit. Been 5 months since he is trying really hard -> Reels, stories, posts and what not.
In the end he go so pissed that he is on tiktok now and instagram is not his primary focus.
It's really hard to revive a dead account. Your mistakes of not posting compound like anything!
I aint waiting a few years lol. I'm running a few things on it now and seeing slight improvements already so going to give it a week or two boosting it, if it doesn't vastly improve then I'll drop it. Thanks for your input though. From a few weeks to a few years depending on the kind of niche it is, how long the account was inactive for, the kind of content you're posting, the kind of collabs you're doing.
Basically, how badly you want to revive it will define how long it takes to revive the account.
Thanks for this, I have boosted a couple of posts and noticed a little up tick. Will give it a couple of weeks to see where I'm at - if it's still the same, I'll pack it in.Best method is to warm up account with content for approximately 1 month, then use "boost post" of any amount to assist in trust score.
1.Start interacting with other people's post so that IG will start promoting your account in their feed.
Interacting with your Audience, That can be in anyway or action allowed on IG let it be Dm's,Likes,Story Views,Comments etc.interacting with my followers again
