How long does it take to reindex a site?

Hello. Between the time that I began hosting the domain and the time that I actually uploaded content, Google indexed the default landing page.

Now I've been waiting, but Google doesn't seem to be re-indexing it. Does anybody know about how long it takes to reindex a website or how one can expedite this process?
