How long does it take for images to get indexed?

I created an image sitemap about a month ago and it has been successfully read by Google but to this day none of the images even show up in the search results.

I have over 150 images that I have on there, how long does it typically take for them to be indexed actually?

It may take several weeks to months for all 150 images to be indexed and appear in search results, especially if your site is new or has low authority. Google doesn't guarantee that all images will be indexed, so focus on quality and optimization.

Images get indexed fast depending on how many do you put in the sitemap at a time. If you have a good crawling status i mean you publish on a timely/regularly basis it should not take long time.

After all it depends.

It can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks for images to appear in Google search, even if the image sitemap is read. Make sure the images are on indexed pages, properly optimized (alt text, file name), and not blocked by robots.txt. If everything’s set up right, just give it more time image indexing is often slower than page indexing.
