How long does it take for a New Video to start getting views?

Hey, I just started a new channel, and uploaded my first video. I optimized it the best I could for SEO and have a decently interesting thumbnail. So far it has been 3 days and 0 views. Is this normal? When I used to upload years back it seemed like they'd get views easier.

Just wondering what everyone elses experiences are.

If it's a brand new channel you will likely have to drive some external traffic, if the retention is high YouTube may give people a few impressions and if the CTR is high enough it will be pushed to more people, this was how it was when I was really active on YT 2-3 years ago.

Maybe more information is needed, try releasing content regularly, use hash tags, at the very least your video may get into recommendations for a while
 
It depends... In some of my channels I got 0 views for 3 weeks, then one single video got +20K views.

Also in other channel, I got 100 views in my first video... It dependes As I said.

But If you make a good job, you will get views for sure, never give up!
 
Keep posting continously, it starts showing on the feed. You'll get the views.

This is because it is a new channel. Keep adding videos, the performance of even a newly added video will keep improving with time.
 
Actually, Consistency in uploading, engaging with your audience, and refining your content based on analytics can contribute to long-term success. Sometimes, it takes a bit of time for algorithms to recognize and recommend new content. Keep creating quality content, and over time, you may see increased visibility and engagement.
 
Keep uploading videos regularly, It will take sometime for your videos to get good amount of views daily.
 
I think it's pretty normal, especially for a new channel. If you want to make it on YouTube you gotta be consistent.
 
Depends on various factors from account age to content and etc
 
It really depends, niche, content quality and sometimes take time before the videos are pushed automatically, start from 0organically is a little bit difficult then views and subscribers will start comming automatically.
