How long does it take for a new blog to rank on Google?

It depends on the keyword competition and how fast you adapt to the search engine, but it usually takes 2 to 6 months.

I had clients that ranked from the first 2 weeks. It depends on a lot of factors, like: keyword difficulty, targeted city/ country, technical seo of your site, indexing (request indexing via Google Indixing API), no errors or warning in the GSC, good internal linking for your keywords and pages. Alfter that, backlinks, take a litle longer and you need quality/ real/ relevant sites&content - you better buy 10 good guest posts (that will be permanent, not get deleted after 1 month), then 10k backlinks. Check each site manually, yourself.

Another important factor is pagespeed. The lower your speed is, the harder is to rank.

Something else, is advertising and/or connectivity between your site and all the google services. So far, everything done right, for me worked.

Consistency matters. Blogs that publish regular, optimized content and promote it actively tend to rank much faster than those that just post and wait.

It varies—typically **3 to 6 months** for initial rankings, but can take 6–12+ months for competitive keywords. Factors matter: niche competition (low-competition niches rank faster), content quality (in-depth, useful posts perform better), SEO basics (on-page optimization, backlinks), and site authority (new sites build trust slowly). Don’t rush: focus on consistent, high-value content and basic SEO. Some long-tail, low-competition keywords may rank in weeks, while short-tail, competitive ones need more time and authority.

Typically, it takes 3 to 6 months for a new blog to start ranking on Google. However, the exact timeline depends on following / several key factors.

1. Content Quality
2. SEO Optimisation
3. How competitive the topic or industry is.
4. Website Structure and User Experience
5. Quality backlinks
6. Consistency

Got it, i need to work hard for 6 month for rank on google

Buy an old domain and it will rank a lot faster. You can probably do it for under $50. I'm not into Google SEO on fresh websites, but what I see is that I get indexed instantly on big sites.

Think about skipping this step. :) It's not worth to waste 6 months of focus to have few positions in Google search that is really unstable.

If you don't own a real business, setting up new sites on fresh domains is counterproductive.

Your posts can reach 3-10 pages within 1-2 weeks. You just need consistency, branding, marketing plan, and link building strategy to rank better.
