How long does it take for a backlinks to get indexed by google nowadays? I got a dozen sites to link to me about a month ago and google still doesn't show them when you search link: site

Does google still count these links or they will only be counted if they are indexed?

I remember back in 2003-2005 backlinks got indexed pretty fast. I wonder if it changed

yes it has definitely changed there is no set time when they get indexed you just have to keep building quality backlinks.

google does still count this links as well. but it usally takes 4-6 weeks more for your backlinks to get indexed now with google.

then these days you need to make sure you use the right tools so you links get indexed.

but good luck buddy hope this helps.
To the top:)

That's not true... links are counted immediately in many cases. I can AMR blast and see index the next day.

If G haven't crawled your link, then are they not aware of your link and can't give you any value for it.

You need to take care of your links, to make sure they get indexed and won't be deleted again. Bookmark them or something else to help mr. G.

Let's see if this clears things up.....

1. "link:" is NOT indexing!

2. Google never shows you all the data.

If you want to see if your link is indexed you have to do them one at a time with the "site:" function and see if that page is in there. Just because it does not show up in Google does not mean that they do not know about it.

This is part of the reason that this is still a guessing game because Google holds their cards close to their chest and you may see a card or two but you never see the full hand.

My advice is to quit worrying about this and move on to the next task.

That's profound.... !

No wonder I can't find out why I am being out ranked like for like with a site that has only 116 back links of not much juice...

I was not aware of this at all.. This rather says many tools are the tip of an iceberg

Try using an indexing service such as Linklicious or Backlink energizer.

They will get the links indexed faster :)
