From the time you start your first article, how long does it take for you to start generating income if you're building an Amazon affiliate blog using Wordpress?

Also, has anyone used Amazon Product In Place plugin for Wordpress? Been playing with this plugin, not sure if it actually works. Would love to hear suggestions on other Amazon affiliate plugins people use with Wordpress.

    TBH,

Amazon is hardest to make money for me.

I've generated tons of money on clickbank and other CPA networks but AMAZON pays damn too low.

Unless you've top ranked blog in Google, I doubt you can make crazy money with Amazon.

I use paid ads and amazon doesn't work for me at all!

Actually Making Money with Amazon is really easy . If you know SEO then you boomboom .. You can kill the Amazon market .
Also people are making good amount of money with Facebook ads (Amazon store)

I don't have experience with store but with Niche blog it takes 3 months to generate the real income. As well, your keywords will be ranking with the 3 months .

Basically, I interpret your question as asking how long does it take for a typical blog or review site to become successful.

While almost all experienced marketers could tell you that your question is so open-ended and so broad that it's really almost impossible to answer, I'm going to take a good stab at it.

You see, if you were to reduce most successful blogs' success to a fixed set of factors, you can actually gain a tremendous amount of control regarding what you need to do for your own particular blog to be successful.

It doesn't really matter whether you've monetized your blog through AdSense or Amazon or CPA, your blog's success will turn on three factors.

First, your content has to already have a market.

People must ready be looking for the type of things we're talking about on your blog, otherwise, your blog will be dead in the water.

There are no two ways about it.

Second, you have to have a compelling message.

It doesn't necessarily mean that you have to have original content.

What this does mean is that you have to have a unique way of presenting that content.

You have to have some sort branding comparative advantage, otherwise, you're just wasting your time.

Third, your monetization system must push your blog forward.

What I mean by this is that your content and your monetization should work closely so that they reinforce each other.

A lot of bloggers make the mistake of simply using monetization systems that may actually end up eroding their brand or leave a lot of money on the table.

So, as long as you pay attention to these three factors, whether you're pushing an Amazon affiliate website or a standard CPA or AdSence website, you increase your likelihood of success.

Well, are you a newbie for Amazon or you are 100% newbie online?

I spent almost 10 months figuring out how to make some first money with my niche sites.

But now with all resources that you can get online, you can get first sales in the first day.

Build social networks, pinterest, twitter and reddit, create and article, share it on social networks and there you got some sales.

I think that answer to OP's question depends mostly on do you know what you are doing or you dont?
I have read somewhere few months back, that the time to start making nice money is 3 months.
But to get to nice money in 3 months, you gotta have a plan and know your way around.

I think you should focus your products considering your audience. Try to see what your users are after, don't push them products that they don't need or want. I think it is essential for you to get some sort of the feedback from them to see what they expect.

Making the first sale isn't the problem. Maintaining and stabilizing is the biggest issue imho.
Earning enough, being able to live of IM is another level. (Being legal and doing taxes etc.)

I get a decent number of sales from amazon but it never adds up to that much. I actually have better luck on Ali Express either doing fashion and clothing items and getting 30% to 50%. There's really no set amount of time it takes to start earning money. I struggled with clickbank for years and never made a penny, then on the flipside with Ali Express I made over $800 my first month. That said its typically not overnight. I heard affiliate marketing compared to planting seeds and affiliate links are the seeds. Over time you get more and more out there and the more you have the more chances something will sprout or you'll get a click and get a sale. Sometimes you carefully plant them or strategically place links and other times you just run around throwing them over your shouder, an examplee of that would be random social media posting of affiliate links
