How long does Google take to index articles ?

Has anyone had issues with Google not indexing their articles even after submitting a sitemap it is 3 weeks now my homepage is indexed but my articles are not indexed even after fetching and rendering in webmaster tools .I am guessing it is because i changed my website niche and content.
My old content is showing in Ahrefs even after deleting and doing 301 on my domain i have tried sharing my new articles in social sites but nothing has changed so far . how do i solve this issue ?

I think the problem will be in sitemap submission.
So,try to resubmit the sitemap and check with the Google Webmaster tools.
Indexation for articles will be based on their quality and it will take some time so be patient.
 
try a little trick.
publish the article on your site and ping it.
wait 2 ou 3 days, and check if its not indexed.
if not, do two things:
- create a blogger and write an article with a backlink to that article, and ping it.
- go to google + and insert link there.

Also, search for Tiers.
 
You might have crawl errors, you can check for crawl errors through your webmaster tools page.
 
Check -
1. Content
2. Crawl settings. They may be faulty
3. Sitemap submission
 
You can use Google Webmaster tool to check the crawl error and re-submit your sitemap.For indexation of site use good quality articles and patiently wait for few days.
 
If you have a pretty decent aged domain and your content is hand written and quality you should be able to index your articles within a few days. At least for me anyways. If its a bit younger of a domain it may take some time. You could always throw some social signals or quality backlinks at it to make it index faster.
 
if you have good traffic to your articles. Google will index them in 1-3 days or you can search google for keyword "google index link" . You will find suppliers.
 
HQ content gets index sooner. write a unique content.
 
Index with google webmaster tools to index quickly.
 
I had this recently, an article I wrote, 1500 words, just would not index. I submitted and resubmitted my sitemap, I pinged it, I did 5 manual do-foll0w blog comments(commenluv), still nothing.
I changed from Yoasts sitemap to the Google XML/news sitemap, it indexed the next day.
 
if your content is 100% unique is made easily
otherwise manually Index with google webmaster tools

If you have some good back links to your site and your PR is pretty good, then your articles should index instantly. Shouldn't be any problems there. Just make sure you distribute link building evenly and eventually your blog posts will rank highly no problem.
