I think I'd give a channel at least a 4/5 months before judging it. Growth is usually slow at first, but one well-timed video can definitely change things quickly. Consistency matters more than waiting for one viral hit.

You need to wait for a minimum of atleast 2-3 months and minmum 15 videos to determine whether its worth continuing or not, if you observe channels that blew up, they ususally take 3-6 months and in some cases 1 year to escape low views, the algo cycle works that way. Upload videos for 2-3 months, atleast 15-25 videos and by month 4, if you dont see views going up, rest teh channel or reduce the number of uploads, but do not discard the videos or channel, wait for atleast the 6th month and see if there is a gradual rise in views, if not you can go ahead and delete the videos and upload in a new channel.
imo there is nothing wrong with giving a channel sufficient time before reaching any conclusions about it bcz it is entirely possible that it may take a lot of time for it to develop but then something happens which draws massive amounts of attentiion to it.
Normally I wouldn't be quick to judge a channel,Let it have enough videos for you to see patterns in both retention and click.through rates, since there is one video that could alter everything about that channel.
Yeah I'd probably give it 4-5 months too. Early numbers can be pretty misleading.
Definitely depends on the niche. Some channels get traction quickly while others need more time to build momentum.
That’s a good point. looking at CTR and retention after a decent number of uploads gives a much clear picture.
Same experience here. It was pretty slow initially then one video started bringing in most of the traffic.
I agree with the long term approach. Its probably too early to judge a channel after just a few uploads.
