How Long Before You started making good money?

I kind of disagree with what you are saying jakeumms...I don't think methods that you put all your work into necessarily will make you money. What if you do it wrong? For instance, I started some bum marketing 2 weeks ago. I haven't done any linking yet, but I'm afraid to because I'm scared I still won't make any sales because I did it wrong (and thus waste tons of time).

Does anybody else experience this phobia? It's like I'm afraid to fail.

I know exactly what you are talking about here. It can really stop you from progressing forward. But, if you think about it, what alternative do you have?

I mean if you don't make a decision you fail anyway. Make a decision and implement something, you get a result. Even if the result doesn't turn into money, you still get a result, good or bad.

From those results you can plan what to do next.

Personally I don't agree with your work ethic.

I think that you should fully understand what you are doing, what methods you'll use, what tools you'll need, and a step by step guide outlining exactly what you need to do.

I don't believe in blindly diving in and trying to make $3000. pfff....
You should be starting projects that could make that much in 1 week.

I mean then there are times when you need to learn how to do it correctly and get experience, but for me it isn't about just blindly saying I want $3000 this month. It's about what I am going to do, potentially how much I could make, and a full understanding of how I am going to do it.

For instance I don't just rush and try stuff and do it stupidly. I have a list of like 60 really good methods (some long-term and short-term, some that will take a long time to setup and a short time to setup, some that will makes thousands in a few days or will make a little but constantly every day), then I choose like 5 of those and step by step say what I am going to do (not exact, but what's required, etc...)

ALSO HERE'S A TIP, WHITEBOARDS AND BULLUTIN BOARDS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND. ALSO HAVING A FAST COMPUTER AND AN EXTRA MONITOR ARE EXTREMELY USEFUL.

Hehe, me and my buddy were talking about getting a few white boards to organize everything better. Probably will get one soon. Definitely a good tip :D

I like to keep a notebook handy (I hate .txt files!) and write down my entire plan. When I do this, it makes what I have to do seem a lot easier. I think our brains naturally think the worst when we've got a bunch of things to do on our mind. I can actually fit a few extra things into the plan also later on and still have plenty of time during the day to do whatever. This also helped my motivation since it made me realize just how easy everything is.. once it's all layed out.

I also like to plan out my work days with the easiest most repetitive things in the morning so I wake up while I do it, and then the more thinking intensive stuff after that once my brain is awake. Doesn't hurt to have a few things automated running in the back round also. :o

Once my brain is feeling sleepy and restless from all the thinking, it's back to the mindless boring work until I feel like taking a nap and doing it all over again..

But it probably took me a good year to start earning good money. I started off ewhoring, and it was easy cash so I think that spoiled me into looking for the "easy" methods 24/7. Once I got sick of the once in a while quick cash days, I started planning in my notebook with all the methods I knew that made money, and how I could work on them a bit every day. Things changed.

been into internet marketing since 2007 but only get serious last month. Still trying to stay focus.

It took me 10 months before I made my first bucks, now I'm making enough to stay away from a JOB

I started in 2004 and it took me around 6 months to make any money. By the end of 2005 I was making more than my day job and in early 2006 I quit my day job.

It took me a long time to make some money in IM, not because of my methods though, the real problem was that I was too hesitant to take action in the first place.

LOL I started making money from very first month.... Actually I was reading and learning from long time but never thought to make living through IM... It was just a hobby... Later on I decided that I know more in IM then any other field and got more chance of making good money over here so I started and luckily from very first month I did good with it...

OP I believe CPA offers will be your best bet to start...

well I made a few $$ here and there but it took me 2 years before I made enough money to live of of it.. and from there that money coming in every day just motivated me to SCALE IT UP! and take it to the top :)
