What does everyone think? Quatum programmes are already hitting the retail sector. So how many years would you give it before the mainstream transition to quantum qubit (and even qutrit, apparently) based systems occurs?

Anyone with a decent insights on the matter?

I think no one push yet quantum computer as is not an interes. From what I see is like the 3D printers very good tehnology but most peoples will not have use for it or cant yet find usefull in any major way..... Even now 3d printers are not so expensive

I will bet will need another 10 years to become more popular quantum computing

Why would anyone need quantum computer as casual everyday computer?

'Why would anyone need a computer for causal everyday communication?' - some guy in 1990 probably

for daily tasks todays computers are much more effective, and they will be even better after ten years.
It depends on the problem you need to solve, which type of computer you need...
the same way you don't need a supercomputer to browse the internet today.. you can just use a smartphone..

Quantum computers are quite distinctive from that of a desktop setup
For instance, they operate at critically low temperatures

That kind of computing power could also mean danger if it's not handled well.
Brute force attacks will be a breeze.
