There are a couple high PR sites that I have made posts/pages on that are not getting indexed as of yet which is kind of odd. Like the first post I made on this one site got indexed in Google in hours if not under an hour and the next 5 posts I do are not indexed after a couple days yet, why might this be? Is it normal for an inner page of a high PR site to not get indexed in a day or two? I have never experienced this before, like for example, from what I remember about squidoo whenever I made a lens it was indexed almost instantly and it never took a whole day to get indexed yet alone a couple or more.

Could this site be purposely not allowing my posts to get found? I have them set on public, so as far as I go they should be found, and like I said my first post was indexed but all others are not.

Hatterftw1,

Sometimes it just takes a while and Google even states in their help section that they cannot predict when indexing will take place. Perhaps when you did your first post the site was about to get crawled anyway and for your other posts, perhaps your timing was just right to miss the last crawl. Whatever the case may be it won't always happen in the same amount of time.

More info here,

Hope that answers your question,

Shawn

This is normal when it comes to google. You may end up having pages indexed in a couple of hours while other pages may take a couple of weeks. It is all up to the mighty G.

Like I uploaded some music to soundcloud which is a pretty high ranking site right? And I still don't see any uploads showing on Google after a couple days. But if you do searches of music uploads in the past few hours you will see plenty showing on Google so wouldnt that mean that the site must have been crawled recently? So then why are mine not showing but others are?

has anyone experienced something similar? Like yeah I know when creating a whole new site or something it can take a while for the site or inner pages to get indexed, but is it normal for an already established authority site's inner pages to take so long to get indexed?

I on google looking at stuff indexed in the last 30 minutes from these same sites :(

ok everything is indexed now sorry for ranting there for a moment lol. The only thing is all but one of my posts seem to be ranked abnormally low on Google as of right after index, how long should I wait after index to get a full idea of where the page will rank without extra SEO involved yet?

that really depends on how strong is the main domain. It would not hurt to send a few decent backlinks to the page to get some juice to give a small boost

every time you do a post or a page or a site force index them by using RSS Feeds. crete yourself some RSS Feeds from the site/ page / post and then submit them using "RSS Submit" I believe it's available here in the download section.

you'll get a page or anything you do indexed in a couple of hours 6 hours max
