How link power does work?

Question:
If the homepage of my website has a lot of backlinks will it make it way easier to rank subpages, or do I need backlinks to subpages as well?

Example:
Let's say that my website is:
hairdresser.com

And it's ranking in the top 3 of google search for phrases like:
hairdresser, hairdresser city

But I would also like to rank my blog post where I write about new trends in hairdressing for 2021, phrase:
hairdressing trends 2021

Do I need links for the blog post with the hairdressing trends 2021 anchor?
Do I always have to build links to all my subpages and/or e-commerce products, categories, and tags?
Or maybe it's better to focus on the main page?

Yes. There are some powerful websites that will rank some pages that have 0 backlinks just because the home page of the website has a lot of authority.

The type of links you're looking for will cost you and No there never free.

Unless a member on here gives you a direct link in your niche.

You need to understand moz metrics to fully understand why links hold indexing weight to other websites.

Not that easy to fully understand the full concept and very hard to explain.

I think moz there self got some fantastic read ups to get the drift.

If you want to go deep into the subject it good to understand all metrics.

Of course. Your website is like a small version of the internet. So in the same way that links pointing to your homepage will help your home page to rank, the same goes for links pointing from your homepages, to your subpages.

Internal links are no different - it’s all about the flow of back links from one page to another.

What that does mean though, is that your internal linking strategy is extremely important to your websites overall search visibility.

Sending links to the homepage will do nothing on its own. You need to internally link from the homepage to pass the juice throughout your site. Internally linking on blog posts with existing backlinks is also a good idea to help spread the juice.

Homepage backlinks helps inner pages.
it will pass the link juice to all the pages in the website.

but having little more backlinks to each of the subpages will gain more exposure and easy to rank those to the top.

There are two strategies:

1. You want to focus on your homepage: The juice will arrive directly on your home and will be distributed to all the other pages that are linked on your home page. This means that you need to have a perfect semantic cocoon so that the juice goes where you need it but only the higher pages will receive a lot, deep one will receive almost nothing

2. You want to focus on certain parts: This will help complement the first one, if you have other pages that you don't want to put a link to directly on the homepage, you should consider linking directly to them from other website to centralize most of the juice on a specific part of your website.

IMO, you should do both, but you need to do it smartly.
