They will never tell and we will never know. It's the biggest secret. If someone knew how they have their data it will be copied of course.

Then what is the guaranty that they show the proper data?

They crawl the web to find backlinks, google search for positions, and using data from google's keyword planner for search volume, cpc, and competition. They use all of these to determine a few other metrics, such as difficulty and other metrics they came up with, such as DA, DR, etc...

The difference between them is in the crawl frequency, all sort of keywords expanders, and the accuracy in their own metrics.

One way may be getting some data from keyword planner scraping data from search results build spiders and Ml and combine all these together in one algorithm that displays results

All Keyword research tools work the same way. You plug in a seed keyword, and they pull keyword ideas from their database based on that keyword. BUT still, No one shares its secret I think They analyze the website to find backlinks, google searches, and use data from google's keyword planner for CPC, search volume, and Competition of that Keyword. Most of these are based on the Google engine the most known one, and Might be from the back they are connected to such search engines

You can use sites such as Google keyword planner, semrush, a hrefs.
