Your traffic is not targeted. That is why CR is so low. Work on the quality of your traffic and you will get good CR.

Yes, but you need to have targeted traffic and a good funnel set up (usually: fb ads -> fan page with freebie offer -> squeeze page with opt in for freebie -> freebie download -> offer).

With only 17 hops I made my first sale using pinterest. I pin only about my niche, I have boards related to my niche, follower and etc. My advice is to invest only in targeted traffic.
