I've read a few threads which mentioned using a VPS with YouTube, but none seem to explain much about using them with apps or YT.

Can anyone share any links or insight?

    Thanks

Yeah the main reason is the specs and internet connection you get around 50mbps+ on somehosts.

    Hmm..
So how exactly does it work? Does it become like a virtual machine or something?
If I have Windows apps. will I be able to actually run them from the VPS?

I also have a Mac computer, would I need a Linux VPS for this?

    Thanks!

    since no one has answered.

VPS is like a mini computer. Basically exactly like a server.

Yes, you can actually run windows apps on the VPS.

And no--Your mac would be able to connect to the Windows VPS--it's not dependent on your computer whatsoever.

Also suggest checking out "Youtube Advertiser" ...great program. (no I don't work for them ;)) ...creator ...or at least the owner of it.. ..is a member here. Believe his nick is 'arbydee2' or something like that.

    Thanks for responding.

So your saying i would basically be able to run even Windows apps from my Mac?

'Youtube Advertiser', yes i've seen Arby's comments on several YT threads.
Are you a user? How does it compare to Mass Video Blaster?

    Thanks!

No, a VPS is basically a remote virtual computer you connect to; it will have its own operating system, usually either Windows or Linux. So you can run Windows apps on it if you have Windows OS installed.
