How is this video made?

Any ideea of how this guy/girl make this type of videos?

i'm trying for a while to figure out what software is using (if is made with a software)

Looks like a combo of Photoshop, to make the components (such as the Homer with the 10 on his finger) and then probably imported into a motion graphics program like After Effects. Both are available with the Adobe Creative Suite.

They don't. Most likely no one from the simpsons or FOX will complain anyway as its too much of a hassle and probably it falls under fair use.

That's legal gray area right there. If the majority of the content is made up of the copyrighted work, it might fall out of fair use.

1) The images sliding around are done with photoshop, it's essentially a file the size of the video, with room for the text on the right side.
2) The text on the right side, the homer moving around and the countdown, are all done by the video editor, could be Premiere pro possibly.
3) All they've done is looked up high ranked 10-best articles and made it into a video taking advantage of it being video and not text content.
4) It's not entire episodes or entire scenes, but bits and pieces from certain ones, being no audio from video, and extremely short clips, with explained text information, I don't see why this would be a copyright violation. In no way are they taking away credit or revenue from the source, but created a new audience based on who was already interested in the content.
5) I also just realized that any media on the video, has a source it came from, which is probably another leverage to stay in the safe zone.

You are correct. It is such a gray legal area that who would invest time and money into figuring out if there are legal issues or not with this video. In sum Its not damaging the brand, its actually even free advertising with quite a good shareable potential, that's why I doubt they would get a copyright strike, unless it would be from some of youtubes crappy automated system or "You are guilty until proven innocent" policy.

You're right.

But that's also a double edged sword. Fox can claim a copyright because whatever, then will you have the time to go and defend that this is fair use?

That's why I said it's a gray area. Your works both ways. It might last years there, but then years from now they can sue you for a cut in your profits....if you hit it big with this video, Fox might want a cut of your profit 5 years from now.

Those videos fall under fair usage policy and can get around of the claims as they seem to be using only images.
Also his content is quite good.
