i'm new to seo, and have been lurking the forums regularly - and learning a lot! i went to alexa to check up on some competitors, and noticed that one of my top (or so i thought) blog competitors' traffic rank seems to have plummeted:

the site is still online and gets regular traffic. what could have happened, or what could the site owner have done, to have dropped the ranking like that?

lol yea it's strange. is there a way to stop alexa from ranking your site? that's what my (uneducated) guess would be.

i figured out what the deal is. it seems that around the time the stats took a nosedive, my competitor moved his site to a (seemingly unknown) niche market blog hosting site. my guess is that the blog hosting site struck a deal (or partnership) with my competitor.
