'dealalivellc' is his username, he's selling all sorts of authentic electronics, I messaged him and all I coul ld get out of him was "yes the apple products are all authentic directly from apple, and no I do not have a business account with them."

Is he buying refurbished? What are your thoughts?

I would also like to know this if anyone has any clue about it, I heard the same claims from a couple of different people too.

Are you serious? Lol... There are clearly 3 questions in the op.

Could someone explain the exact meaning of refurbished to this Dutch guy? (Lol, I should know these things by now!:P)

Refurb means it's been repaired by apple, so it's not exactly brand new although they basically are according to what people have experienced with apple.

Apple sales policy is very strict, I would not trust anyone that says it has products coming directly from Apple. At least not as long as he is not presenting some proof - a site, a business, a contract, etc.

He could:

1. SE them from Apple and then just dropship them to buyers.
2. Ca*d them and dropship to buyers.
3. Or he is reselling knockoffs.

Yeah I actually found a vid on YT about that when I was looking into buying wholesale. One of the things I heard is that it looks, feels, and works like an ipod until you plug it into your machine and it doesn't work with itunes. Just one story I heard. Peace.

I don't know about how this guy is selling for cheap.
But I cam across people selling cheap apple products. Most of them are either stolen or bought online and sent to buyer shipping address using stolen credit cards.
When get caught the buyer will be in trouble !

Not always scammers. I know UPS drivers that make a great side business on Nintendo, Sony, Apple, and other hot ticket items that are sold in company stores. They deliver to the company stores. They know when the stuff hits the street, and they're at the store all the time. I did most of my XMas shopping with one of them the year the Wii came out. There wasn't a single impossible to find game or accessory that he couldn't get on sale day.

It's perfectly legal: he'd buy X Y and Z in the morning and sell it at a profit after work. And for some item that's not available anywhere paying a premium is the name of the game. Half hte people who line up at the stores overnight are going to resell the stuff.

Apple is very strict on reselling their products but they do have the option where you can get the stuff that they won't sell whether it has a nick or a minor blemish. It's not up to their standards so it gets tossed, but from what I understood of these programs is that you bought them at the fraction of the price then you could mark it up as long as you were openly expressing that these were refurbished.

what is the price he's selling them at??

I know a few friends from high school who can get an iPod touch for like $50 USD. Honestly "It's all who you know". He probably knows some guy who sells hot items very cheap.

He is probably an affiliate for apple. Making commissions on each sale. But they only pay 2%
